Progress!!

The kids and I had a great time at the Christmas Arts & Crafts show. Didn't buy a whole lot, but did get a few little goodies and one Christmas present out of the way!! Saturday - took my mom and grandmother to Old Time Pottery and Hobby Lobby. Oh, the Christmas music was great and really got my mind focused. No gifts finished at these two stops, but I did get several started and finished at Wal-Mart later. I even stocked up on gift boxes, tags, wrapping paper, and cards. I'm trying to get a head start. I need to go ahead and wrap what I have and not have to do that at the last minute. I think it was last year that I was up late on Christmas Eve wrapping presents. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid!! So, alas my good intentions for this holiday season starts - we'll just have to wait and see if it comes to fruition. I did get the December Daily w/Ali Edwards finished. All I have to do is punch the wholes and attach the rings. I also got the cookie sheet advent calendar almost 80% complete. It was a lot of fun.

Update on the living simply motto: I put up some wall decor that had been sitting around for a while. The mirror for the dining room above the buffet has been sitting there for a little over a year. Yes, I said a year. But, it looks so good now!! Did a lot of cleaning that needed doing. It's looking much better. My dad came to visit Sunday morning and brought me a couple of the beautiful plants from my grandmother's funeral. He even said that he is going to attend church where she was buried next weekend!! Woooohooo!! Unbelieveable - he said hopefully the walls won't come crashing down!! (snort!) Good things I tell ya!! o.k. that's all for now - have a day off tomorrow and hopefully will get even more accomplished!!
