Living Room Decor ?

O.k. I am going to take some pics. of my living room this weekend and post them on Monday. I have several questions to several problems. For example:

1. What to put on my "long" wall? a small table w/ pic. etc.. on top or a large piece of furniture (will put a link to what I am thinking about on Monday)

2. Window treatments? yes or no and if so what kind - should I hang some narrow curtains higher than my windows or what?

3. Rug or no rug? That is the question

4. Love the candelabras on each side of my fireplace, but should I leave them naked or dress them with candles? What color?

5. I have this pitiful, although expensive a few years ago, chair and a half that needs repairing and recovered. What color do you suggest? I am hoping to do it this next week.

These questions plague my mind every afternoon when I go home. So, please help a girl out and let's decorate this space. See ya Monday with pics.
