Don't ask me what the title actually means, but it is just a saying here in the South and everyone here understands the meaning. Anyway, December 8th huh!?! That's a long time with no post. Things have definitely changed around our house for the better since December 10th. We are slowly getting back to normal. If you call living with an 8 week old puppy "normal" - I don't think that is possible. I will post pics. tomorrow. Gus is a toy schnauzer and he is liver/parti colored. He received his first big boy haircut yesterday as well as his first trip to our vet. Doc said that he is fabulous and everyone at the vet fell in love with him. My husband even dropped him in for an introduction to the school this morning. The kids loved him and so did my colleagues. He is a mess already and we've only had him for 3 days. Oh well! he should fit right in.
My mother gave the kids and us a trip to Disney World for Christmas!! Yea, we are excited!! The kids have never been and I hope it is a memory maker for them. Valentine's is coming up and I will have to be making some decisions on just how we will celebrate this year. We may just stay at home, cook, play board games, and just "be" this year. What else is new!?! Let me think... I've started Weight Watchers unofficially. Am I overweight? no, but since I am about to hit the mid-30's I want to start being careful and get into a much more healthy lifestyle. I've even worked out some - imagine that!! Just makes me feel better. More alive.
I have also started a one-year bible reading project that I have a blinkie for on my blog. You can click on it to tag along! I don't like to say that I have made some resolutions, but I just want to readjust things and get back on track. KWIM!?! And since my traveling plans have slowed down I can get back to church on Wednesday nights. Wednesday nights are a great time for fellowship and just kicking back. Great times!! My dad is even attending a church near his home. I never thought I would be able to say that, but it feels great. I only wish the best for his spiritual growth.
Long post, but it has been a long time since the last update. Even if it is for myself. I try to use it to hold myself accountable. Have a blessed day everyone!! I am going to be at home this afternoon cleaning and playing with the puppy.
